Rami Ayoubi

Director (Part time) PhD (Nottingham), MA (Nottingham), PgDip, Adv PgDip, BA (Hons)

I received my PhD and Master degrees from the University of Nottingham in UK. Earlier, I received Postgraduate Diploma in Business Studies, Advanced Postgraduate Diploma in Business and Computing, and Bachelor of Arts in Business. I teach courses in organization theory and strategy at undergraduate and postgraduate levels at Damascus University. Previously I taught leadership skills, business case studies, strategy, and strategic marketing, managerial economics at the Higher Institute for Business Administration, and at the Syrian Virtual University. I am a member of the editorial board of several academic journals published by Emerald and Elsevier and other three international academic journals in the field of business and education. I contributed as author and reviewer to many international academic journals. Prior to return to Syria in 2006, I was appointed as Quantitative Institutional Researcher at the University of Glamorgan in Wales. In December 2012, I was appointed as CBRL Visiting Research Fellow in the field of Higher Education in the Arab Region at the University of Kassel in Germany. In 2007, I worked as consultant for the UNDP in Syria. Since February 2007, I am the director for an EU funded Programme "Tempus Programme", a trans European mobility programme for modernising the higher education in the partner countries including Syria. Within this programme, I organized and was involved in several Tempus and other EU projects' conferences, workshops and seminars. From January 2014. I was appointed by the European Commission as the director of the new programme Erasmus+ until 2020. I contributed to several voluntary jobs to the Ministry of Higher Education in Syria including mainly the issues of admission policy in the sector. In 2009 and 2010, I was the Coordinator and team member for the Fact Finding Mission of the Syria Oxford Leadership Programme of Said Business School at Oxford University and Said Foundation to Syria.

Ahmad Firas Hamadeh

Heputy Head (Part time) MBA (Marketing & HRM), BSc Engineering (Hons), EP Business Dynamics (MSM)

A multidisciplinary business development and Higher Education expert with more than 15 years of proven management record for creating and leading organizations to achieve their missions; Firas made his first steps in developing his career as an engineer with ICT business development anchors. Then he got his MBA in Marketing from UAB Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in Spain, and his second MBA major of HRM Human Resources Management from Fondazione CUOA Business School in Italy. Entering the digital media business field as a managing editor from 2003 then as a managing director for one of the most innovative digital media projects in the MENA region in 2006. In parallel, Firas is a professional trainer, lecturer and mentor in many fields of ICT, media, business and soft skills. A lecturer at privet universities in business administration, management and digital media. Providing special training for business organization, local and international NGOs. Topics including HR, Marketing, Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, Leadership & Emotional Intelligence, Business Dynamics & Intelligence, Problem Solving, Decision Making, Organization Behavior, Digital Media Management, and Advocacy with many other customized soft skills training workshops, lectures and seminars. Before holding the position of NEO Syria Deputy Head, Firas was an EU Erasmus+ HEREs (Higher Education Reform Experts) team member and an academic lecturer in management, business administration and digital media throughout his long and diversified business experience in many organizations. Providing plethora of business related consultancies and training for international organizations (UNDP, WHO, UNRWA, ICRC, SARC, DRC) and international and national NGOs, is his passion because of his long involvement in social and charity volunteering work activities for developing and helping people, young entrepreneurs, youth, students and local social organizations. Firas also lead the team of project in 2011 before he was the deputy project director and the business development manager. The project was one of the leading digital content providers in the MENA region from 2006. From March 2016, Firas was appointed from EU-EACEA as the Deputy Head (director) for the National Erasmus+ Office in Syria. He is responsible for all the NEO coordinator work except for the formal reporting and financial issues.

Susan Ahmar Dakneh

Communication Officer (Full time) MA candidate (SVU), BA(Hons)

I graduated from the English Department, Faculty of Literature and Human Sciences at Damascus University in 2003. Upon graduation, I worked at Tanweer Company as an Executive Secretary and as a Translator for some movies and TV series. I joint Syria National Tempus office as an Executive Secretary in October 2004, then as Communication Officer in July 2005. From January 2014, I assist the director in implementing and promoting for the new programme Erasmus+. I like classic music, reading and traveling.

Maher AlKatib

Administrative Officer(Part time) MA candidate , BA (Hons)

I graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Damascus University in 1997, and worked as Financial & Administrative Officer for several organizations and companies (international and regional) in Syria. I have joint the office as a Financial Officer in 2004.
